Sequintastic September Blog Hop

This Hop is hosted by Sarah Sequins from: http://www.saturdaysequins.com/
Please visit her blog and you can find the list of all participants.
A very big thank to Sarah for hosting this wonderful hop.

This hop is about making whatever you want, but you must use some sequins.
I made a bead embroidery bracelet using sequins, seed beads and in the center I used buttons.

This is my first resin piece, I made a pendant with Swarovski sequins and regular sequins. I need a lot of practice.

I hope you have a chance to check Sarah Sequins blog.

  1. Hi Jasvanti,
The braclet is beautiful I like how the blue sequins bring out the blue in the buttons you chose to use. The resin pendant is very pretty and I think you did a fantastic job on it.

  2. Hi Jasvanti,

Wow, you blew me away. I love the random pattern of the seed beads, and the colors of both the seed beads and the sequins. I thought those were rivolis in the center, not buttons. Your bracelet has such a fun and festive feel to it. It's very different from what I normally see you post, I hope you like it and decide to do more.

Your resin piece has a bit of a 1950's feel to me. How fun to explore a whole new technique. Good for you! Le

  3. Jasvanti, wow! You did a wonderful job. I love the way the sequins look with the beads and buttons, and your resin piece is adorable. I've always found resin to be a tricky thing to work with, so your work impresses me. <3

    Thanks for participating!!

  4. Very pretty - I like how the color of the sequins seems to echo the color in the centers of your faceted rivolis. And I have to agree with Liz E regarding your resin pendant - it does have a retro look.

  7. Beautiful bracelet Jasvanti . The combination of sequins , beads that you have stitched in the background really give a 3D effect to the bracelet. And I loved the idea of adding sequins and crystals to resin . It makes the pendant really unique.

  10. I love your bracelet so much! Thanks you for showing that you can use sequins in resin too. I have just recently completed a course in resin / metalwork (Deryn Boyd Mentock's "Bezel Bootcamp") and used glitter and Microbeads in my pieces, but the sequins look fab - will have to try that. Your resin piece is really cool. :D
