Lapis Necklace

I bought several pendants to make necklaces for Christmas presents. This one I kept for myself, a simple strand of 4mm Lapiz Lazuli beads strung on beading wire.
Something to wear with jeans, even though I only wear jeans on the weekends, and then I am to lazy to wear jewelry. The pendants I bought were Moonstone, Jade, Pink Quartz and Lapiz.

Turtle Shell

This pendant is another bead embroidery one, I bought several oval shaped cabochon at JJ Beads in Huntington Beach, CA. The colors are gorgeous.
I used Preciosa cupchain, 8/0 seed beads, 11/0 seed beads and a freshwater pearl. I am really loving bead embroidery.

Starlight

I made this pendant before Christmas, I have been super busy, I was called for jury duty and had to go for 2 days, luckily I was not picked to be a juror, and school started on Monday, so it is crazy.
I found this free pattern on Around the Beading Table website, and you can get the free pattern here.
It was so easy and quick to make it.
I used crystal pearls, superduos, seed beads and druk beads.

Druzy Pendants

Druzys are a passion of mine. I absolutely love them!!
I purchased several druzy pendants and made the above pendant.

And of course I made this one too.
I found matching beads for both pendants, they are gemstone beads.
I get so many compliments when I wear them.
The pendants are heavy, and I wire wrapped each bead. It is time consuming, but I don't mind the work.
I still have a few more pendants, but that will be later.
I bought some in Brazil, some at JJ Beads in Huntington Beach CA and some at the GemFaire.

Comet Pendant

I have been making bead embroidery pendants. I am inspired by my blog friend Liz E. and this is her blog:
http://www.beadcontagion.blogspot.com/
She does a lot of bead embroidery, so I thought I would make a pendant from this dichroic glass that I bought. I don't remember the source since I have a tendency to buy beads for a later project.
So I used seed beads and fire polished beads.
I had made another pendant for the cabochon challenge in 2013 and made a similar one.
It remind me of space.
I am still learning how to make bead embroidery, I still have a long ways to go.
Hopefully I will master it with time.
I hope you will like my latest project.

Falling on the Edge of October Design Challenge

Falling on the Edge of October Design Challenge

This blog hop is being hosted by the wonderful Rita from: http://www.jewelschoolfriends.com

The hop was limited to  35 participants and Rita mailed the Sparkling Rocks to all of us.
Thank you Rita for hosting this blog hop .

I was waiting anxiously for my bead and of course I am so impatient that I asked a friend to purchase some additional beads from Maryse's Etsy store and the picture is right below.

Unfortunately I did not receive my "sparkling rock" and I thought that I should drop from this hop, but since I already purchased some beads, I so am improvising.
I made the earrings below using the "sparkling rocks and I used crystal spacers and freshwater pearls.

Since this hop is all about the fall and the orange tones, a season I absolutely love, I decided to use some orange beads to make 3 bracelets.

I used freshwater pearls, crystal spacers and the orange beads.

These are chinese crystals, glass beads and a pumpkin bead.

These stone beads were given to me by a friend, and again I used one more orange bead.

I hope you have a chance to visit Rita's blog and see what  all the other participants have created.

Rita's blog is: http://www.jewelschoolfriends.com

Thank you again Rita for letting me participate in your blog hop.
I am looking forward to the next blog hop at the end of this month.

2nd Annual Bead Hoarders Blog

This blog hop is all about using our stashes of beads that we are saving forever, and create jewelry.
Our host is Lori Anderson from: http://www.prettythingsblog.com/
Thank you so much for hosting this blog hop!! Over 100 people are participating, wow!!
Please visit Lori's blog to see what all the other artist created!!

The above bracelet has Swarovski  beads, seed beads, chinese bicones and superduos.

This is a brooch and I turned it into a necklace.

This is a jade pendant and jade beads, I love how this necklace looks.!!

These beads were given to me so long ago, I had forgotten about them, they are all different gemstone beads, I strung them in between seed beads. Simple, but elegant.

This necklace is a long one, I used druzy beads in two colors, citrine beads given to me from a friend, freshwater pearls and  gemstone beads with crystals.

This necklace was given to me by another friend, she had made herself and  i re-did all the wire wrapping, this necklace is also a long one. Thanks Linda for giving it to me.

We had some rainy days, so I apologize for the bad quality of the pictures. I ran outside to take pictures when the sun come out. That did not last too long.

I was good and I did not buy any beads for this hop.

Thanks again Lori for hosting this blog hop, and this is where you can visit  her  blog http://www.prettythingsblog.com/

I hope you enjoyed looking at my pieces.

I love this set very much.
I hope you can get a chance to make one for yourself, too.

Gift for Donna and Carole

I made these necklaces for my friends Donna(Green) and Carole(red).
I am in love with drusies, so when I came across these beauties, I could not resist.
